Smokey Mountain Backpacking Trip: 
I stood on top of the big bald hump of a mountain and breathed in the clean, crisp air.  Actually I was gasping as the huff up the mountain was not as easy as I had hoped!  I soon plopped down on my backpack and got out my water bottle.  There I waited as the others came rounding the corner of the peak and joined me, each with a war hoop of victory and then following my lead, they soon plopped down too!  After a drink and some GORP it was only a matter of minutes before I was lying down on my pack soaking in the sunshine… and then I was asleep, at peace with the world, and perfectly content to take a nap in the middle of the day, in the rays of the sun, in the beauty of the mountain.
Enjoy hiking through the beautiful mountains carrying your supplies on your back!  Breathtaking views interspersed with the long, windy, mountainous trails of the Appalachian Trail. Rafting and/ or rock climbing can be added onto this journey if desired. Participants experience both the joy and the struggle of wilderness living, spend time with God the Creator and enjoy the fellowship of their fellow travelers.  Students stretch their comfort zones and focus on perseverance, responsibility and leadership in relationship to their place in the kingdom of God.  This expedition can be custom designed and can begin at the Smokey Mountains or it can begin with adventure activities at New Frontiers.

Colorado Expedition:
There I stood on the top of Mt. Blanca, exhausted from the Alpine start and the long difficult climb, yet totally engulf in the beauty and stark reality of my own insignificance.  Then a sense of wonder came creeping into my heart.  The God of this universe, the God of Abraham, the God who created it all – was smiling at my effort to explore His wonderland. 
Glaciers, 14,000-foot peaks and sand dunes!  Understand your significance while backpacking, rock climbing, ascending peaks and sightseeing in the midst of some of god’s most magnificent creations! Surrounded by the spectacular Colorado Rockies it is easy to feel small which makes it even more special when the God of the universe chooses to speak to you there!  This adventure is for those looking to be wild at heart!
