The NF Equine program seeks to harness the metaphors that result from the human-horse behavior dynamic in order to uncover the truth that God longs to speak.  Horses somehow connect with people in special ways.  They somehow break through our defenses to unlock our true emotions.  They have no agenda, no reason to lie—and there’s something very powerful about that.  Our horse program isn’t about riding.  It is a ground based experiential activity that involves a horse or horses in the process.  Students attempt initiatives with the horse and in doing so experience a gamut of emotions that give rise to understanding of ourselves, our fellow participants and our relationship with God.  This interaction with the horses is much more powerful than the traditional trail ride and evokes metaphors that have lasting impact.
